The
dog bites the tail?
It
might be a problem with the tailbone

This
German Shepard had to be put to sleep because
it continued to bite its tail.
I decided to keep the skeleton and to reconstruct it
to be able to
verify if there was a problem with the tailbone.
And in fact, during the
reconstruction I noticed an
abnormal ossification process in the form of a
triangle
(like an arrowhead) on the fifth bone of the dog's tail.
Perhaps
this creates a disturbance that
causes some dogs to bite their tails.
If
you have a dog with this kind of problem
I would suggest that you x-ray the
whole tail,
because a simple operation might be able to resolve the problem.
